Chromosome Research, 2002
This work represents the first attempt to define tardigrade chromosomes using banding techniques. Macrobiotus richtersi, a eutardigrade morphospecies with amphimictic diploid and thelytokous triploid cytotypes, was used as a model. Prime consideration was given to oocyte chromosomes because they are larger than those of spermatocytes and of mitotic ...

A new species in the genus Milnesium (Eutardigrada) from USA (North Carolina)
ZootaxaDuring recent research on autofluorescence in tardigrades a new species of Milnesium was discovered on the campus of Warren Wilson College (North Carolina, USA). We provide an integrative description of this new species based on morphology and genetics (COI, 18S rRNA and 28S rRNA sequences). The new species has six peribuccal lamellae, a smooth cuticle

Macrobiotus joannae, primo Macrobiotidae ermafrodito (Eutardigrada).
