Copolymerization by Gamma-Irradiation of Eutectic Mixtures

Molecular Crystals, 1969
Abstract Experimental work was concentrated on attempts to prepare copolymers from solid binary eutectics. Styrene and β-propiolactone were investigated as an example of a system comprising a vinyl and a cyclic monomer. Only a mixture of homopolymers was obtained as a result of γ-irradiation and, more generally, it is maintained that convincing ...

Stabilization of Polyvinyl Chloride) by Eutectic Mixtures

Journal of Macromolecular Science: Part A - Chemistry, 1978
Abstract An eutectic mixture of sodium and potassium nitrites and nitrates which is liquid at the processing temperature is proposed as a new efficient stabilizer for PVC.

Normal freezing of eutectic forming organic mixtures

AIChE Journal, 1967
AbstractNormal freezing of several organic systems exhibiting simple eutectic behavior has been studied experimentally, and the occurrence of constitutional subcooling has been clearly established. This phenomenon, previously observed in systems of metallurgical interest, results in the instability of a planar solid‐liquid interface and leads to solute

Recent Advances in the Use of Ionic Liquids and Deep Eutectic Solvents for Lignocellulosic Biorefineries and Biobased Chemical and Material Production

Chemical Reviews
Biorefineries, which process biomass feedstocks into valuable (bio)products, aim to replace fossil fuel-based refineries to produce energy and chemicals, reducing environmental and health hazards, including climate change, and supporting a sustainable ...

Local Anesthetics: Eutectic Mixture of Local Anesthetics

1991
All commonly available local anesthetics have poor skin penetration when applied topically. One of the main reasons is that a local anesthetic agent needs to be in its cationic form in order to block nerve conduction. But it is the uncharged base which penetrates and diffuses into the tissues after topical administration.
