Feeding habits of Eutrigla gurnardus in the Northern-Middle Adriatic Sea.
2009A total of 774 samples of grey gurnard, Chelidonichthys gurnardus were collected in the Northern-Middle Adriatic Sea by bottom trawl surveys (GRUND 2007-MEDITS 2008). The stomach content have been analyzed to determine diet according to fish size, sex, depth and season.

L’évolution pondérale du mésentère intestinal, du foie et du corps éviscéré permet de penser que la plus grosse partie des réserves des Triglidae est emmagasinée dans les fibres musculaires, mais fait également ressortir l’importance du mésentère en tant qu’organe de réserve ainsi que la faible contribution du foie à ce mécanisme.

The biology of the species in the Italian seas is little known. In the North-central Adriatic Sea a maximum size of 29 cm TL is reported for this species. The most common sizes reported for trawling surveys in the North-central Adriatic Sea range from 8 cm to 14 cm TL.

U ovom radu analiziran je ulov kokota sivca tijekom ekspedicije MEDITS 1997-2003. godine, te odnos vrsta prema dubini, dužinski sastav populacije, maseni sastav populacije i spolni sastav populacije. Kokot sivac je lovljen u dubinskim pojasevima do 200 metara.
