Eutypa dieback is a devastating disease of Vitis vinifera L. caused by the fungal pathogen Eutypa lata. This wood-inhabiting fungus degrades tissues in the trunk and cordons of infected vines and induces symptoms in the foliage. These symptoms have been attributed to the production of toxic metabolites by the pathogen, in particular eutypine. Recently,

Diagnosis of Eutypa lata infection in grapevines by serological detection of secreted polypeptides
2009Eutypa lata is the causal agent of a devastating disease affecting grapevines around the world. We have previously reported that the fungus secretes in its culture medium a variety of polypeptides, and we have developed serological method of detecting these.
