Future Waste Scenarios for Sweden based on a CGE-model [PDF]
Over the last decades, waste quantities have grown steadily in close relation to economic growth. To tackle the problem of continuing waste growth within the EU, waste prevention was listed among four top priorities in the EU Sixth environment Action ...

ABSTRACT The biopharmaceutical industry increasingly relies on single‐use technologies (SUT) for operational flexibility. For a long time, SUT was considered more sustainable than stainless‐steel (SST) systems due to water and energy savings. This study re‐evaluates this paradigm via a detailed bottom‐up analysis of the SUT carbon footprint at the 2000

Investigating CD8 T Cell Exhaustion in Chronic LCMV Infection by Flow Cytometry
Abstract CD8 T cells and the process of T cell exhaustion are central topics in both basic immunology and translational research, including clinical applications. Here, we provide a comprehensive, step‐by‐step guide to investigate CD8 T cells in murine in vivo lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) infection models.

Hypobaric Resilience of Matrix Polysaccharide Biosynthesis in Plants
ABSTRACT Space habitats and transit vehicle interiors are proposed to operate at less than one Earth atmosphere (hypobaria) to minimize engineering costs in space‐based bioregenerative life support systems (BLSS). Understanding how plants are affected by lower‐pressure spaceflight environments and associated stressors will be vital for their use in ...
