Formulation, validation and evaluation studies on metaxalone and diclofenac potassium topical gel [PDF]

Twenty different batches of gels containing metaxalone and diclofenac potassium were prepared for topical application. These drugs act synergistically in the management of pain and inflammation. Gels were prepared by varying the type of gelling agent (ten batches each of hydroxyl propyl methyl cellulose and carbopol 934).

Evaluation of spiramycin for topical applications: a cell culture study.

Through a cell culture test, we analyzed the cytotoxic effects of topical spiramycin on NIH/3T3 fibroblast cells.Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 1% penicillin/streptomycin was used for the growth of NIH/3T3 fibroblast cells in a 5% CO2 incubator.
