The Application on 4G-LTE System with Evaporation Duct

2018 2nd IEEE Advanced Information Management,Communicates,Electronic and Automation Control Conference (IMCEC), 2018
The strong trapping capacity to propagation waves at microwave frequencies has led the evaporation duct to become a significant method realizing beyond-line-of-sight marine communication. The researches on the communication applicants with evaporation ducts are getting much more vital.

Polarization dependence of transient signals in evaporation ducts

Radio Science, 1978
The evaporation duct model used is that of Kahan and Eckart and consists of a discontinuous drop of the otherwise constant relative permittivity at the upper duct boundary. The earth is assumed to be a perfect conductor and ideally plane. We determine the electrical field strength exactly at some fixed point within the duct layer, having chosen a ...

Lidar description of the evaporative duct in ocean environments

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
The description of radar propagation in the presence of the evaporation duct has proven to be a difficult problem in both littoral and open ocean environments. To properly characterize the propagation of a radar beam at low elevation angles, the evaporation duct must be located and scattering properties quantified.

Simulation of microwave propagation in turbulent evaporation duct

2012 6th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2012
The method to account for turbulent refractivity fluctuations for split-step parabolic equation Fourier method are presented. The results of microwave propagation simulations in an evaporation duct with account for scattering by correlated turbulent fluctuations of the tropospheric refractivity index is analyzed.

MMW propagation in warm water evaporation ducts

2013 US National Committee of URSI National Radio Science Meeting (USNC-URSI NRSM), 2013
This paper focuses on Ka-band (35 GHz) propagation in maritime evaporation ducts using M-profiles derived from high resolution radiosonde observations from locations with warm sea surface temperature (> 25°C) and large M-deficits (ΔM > 60 M-units), and the equivalent ln-linear model fits to the radiosonde M-profiles.

The Surface Evaporative Duct Height Product: An Evaluation

1987
Abstract : The existence of a surface evaporative duct has many serious operational implications. One of the most serious and obvious implications is that the extended range of the radar will allow distant hostile units to detect the radar(and to be detected by the radar).
