Phase-conjugate optical coherence tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Quantum optical coherence tomography (Q-OCT) offers a factor-of-two improvement in axial resolution and the advantage of even-order dispersion cancellation when it is compared to conventional OCT (C-OCT).

Some Oscillation Results for Even-Order Differential Equations with Neutral Term

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2021
The objective of this work is to study some new oscillation criteria for even-order differential equation with neutral term rxzn−1xγ′+qxyγζx=0. By using the Riccati substitution and comparison technique, several new oscillation criteria are obtained for ...

Even Order Half-Linear Differential Equations with Regularly Varying Coefficients

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We establish nonoscillation criterion for the even order half-linear differential equation (−1)nfn(t)Φx(n)(n)+∑l=1n(−1)n−lβn−lfn−l(t)Φx(n−l)(n−l)=0, where β0,β1,…,βn−1 are real numbers, n∈N, Φ(s)=sp−1sgns for s∈R, p∈(1,∞) and fn−l is a regularly varying (

Large even order character sums

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2014
A classical theorem of Paley asserts the existence of an infinite family of quadratic characters whose character sums become exceptionally large. In this paper, we establish an analogous result for characters of any fixed even order. Previously our bounds were only known under the assumption of the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis.

Oscillatory theorems of a class of even-order neutral equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A class of even-order nonlinear neutral differential equations with distributed deviating arguments is studied, and oscillatory criteria for solutions of such equations are ...

Sufficient criteria for oscillation of even-order neutral differential equations with distributed deviating arguments

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
This paper presents novel criteria for investigating the oscillatory behavior of even-order neutral differential equations. By employing a comparative approach, we established the oscillation properties of the studied equation through comparisons with ...

A Further Note on a Formal Relationship Between the Arithmetic of Homaloidal Nets and the Dimensions of Transfinite Space-Time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
A sequence of integers generated by the number of conjugated pairs of homaloidal nets of plane algebraic curves of even order is found to provide an >exact< integer-valued match for El Naschie's primordial set of fractal dimensions characterizing ...
