Trauma‐Related Compulsions in Obsessive‐Compulsive Disorder: Functional Insights From Factor Analysis

open access: yesStress and Health, Volume 42, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Resisting obsessive‐compulsive disorder (OCD) compulsions is a key predictor of exposure and response prevention (ERP) effectiveness, yet trauma‐exposed individuals with OCD endorse more severe compulsions and are more likely to be labelled ‘treatment resistant.’ Among trauma‐exposed individuals, compulsions are theorised to function to ...

GSI‐UNet: Extracting Geomagnetic and Solar Indices Features for Real‐Time Global Ionospheric Map Enhancement

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Real‐time Global Ionospheric Map (RT‐GIM) products, provided by the International GNSS Service (IGS), are designed to support time‐sensitive applications by offering ionospheric information with only a few minutes of latency. However, their accuracy falls far short of the high‐precision Final GIM, particularly during periods of intense solar ...

Alcohol approach–avoidance task behavior and brain potentials differentially predict ecologically assessed alcohol craving and consumption in early emerging adulthood

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 121, Issue 4, Page 804-824, April 2026.
Abstract Aims The current study measured the extent to which different neurobehavioral indices of incentive‐motivational salience attribution to alcohol cues predict alcohol craving and consumption in the natural environment. Design, setting, and participants Laboratory study at a university in Missouri, USA, followed by a smartphone‐based 21‐day ...

Palmoplantar pustulosis: pathogenesis, differential diagnosis, and treatment

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, Volume 24, Issue 4, Page 516-535, April 2026.
Summary Palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP) is a chronic inflammatory and often painful disease characterized by sterile pustules on the palms and soles, significantly impairing quality of life. Women are more frequently affected than men, and smoking is a major trigger. Under biologic therapies, especially TNF antagonists, a paradoxical PPP may occur.
