Structure and Randomness of Continuous-Time Discrete-Event Processes
Loosely speaking, the Shannon entropy rate is used to gauge a stochastic process' intrinsic randomness; the statistical complexity gives the cost of predicting the process.

Energy efficient privacy preserved data gathering in wireless sensor networks having multiple sinks [PDF]
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) generally have a many-to-one structure so that event information flows from sensors to a unique sink. In recent WSN applications, many-tomany structures are evolved due to need for conveying collected event information to ...

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

What are incremental themes? [PDF]
In this paper I examine the approach to incremental themes developed in Krifka 1992,1998, Dowty 1991 and others, which argues that the extent of a telic event is determined by the extent of its incrementally affected theme.

First M87 Event Horizon Telescope Results. VIII. Magnetic Field Structure near The Event Horizon
Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) observations at 230 GHz have now imaged polarized emission around the supermassive black hole in M87 on event-horizon scales.

Post-Earthquake Damage Identification of Buildings with LMSST
The structure is said to be damaged if there is a permanent shift in the post-event natural frequency of a structure as compared with the pre-event frequency. To assess the damage to the structure, a time-frequency approach that can capture the pre-event

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Dynamic Causality in Event Structures [PDF]
Event Structures (ESs) address the representation of direct relationships between individual events, usually capturing the notions of causality and conflict. Up to now, such relationships have been static, i.e., they cannot change during a system run. Thus, the common ESs only model a static view on systems. We make causality dynamic by allowing causal

ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

On the metric structure of space-time [PDF]
I present an analysis of the physical assumptions needed to obtain the metric structure of space-time. For this purpose I combine the axiomatic approach pioneered by Robb with ideas drawn from works on Weyl's "Raumproblem".
