Congenital Bilateral Eversion of the Eyelids

The authors report a case of congenital bilateral eversion of the eyelids with secondary conjunctival prolapse in a 4-hour-old neonate. Conservative treatment with hypertonic normal saline, lubricants, antibiotics, and padding was instituted. No surgery was performed. Complete eye opening was achieved by the 10th day after birth.
