Response space of grassland plant species to increasing land‐use intensity based on response dissimilarities quantified by using a novel approach. The response space clusters species that benefit from land‐use intensification (‘winners’, green), are negatively affected (‘losers’, yellow), and those with nonmonotonic responses (blue).

Abstract Using satellite‐derived dust optical depth (DOD), reanalysis meteorology, and a global topsoil flash drought (TSFD) inventory for 2003–2022, we find that TSFD events are associated with increased dust loading at the global scale. During TSFD events, 44.7% of land pixels exhibited positive DOD anomalies.

Abstract External exposome research offers opportunities to evaluate complex relationships between multiple environmental determinants of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). However, selecting specific exposure domains, identifying metrics, and downloading, processing, and managing big data are key challenges in translating the potential ...

ABSTRACT Coastal lagoons are increasingly altered by hydrological modification and catchment‐derived nutrient loading, driving shifts in macrophyte dominance and creating complex management trade‐offs. In Chilika lagoon, India, the emergent macrophyte Phragmites karka has expanded, raising concerns about impacts on native macrophytes, habitat ...

We modelled multi‐scale habitat use for chimpanzee feeding/travelling, nesting, and human hunting in the Seringbara region of Mount Nimba (Guinea) using GPS data with GLMs and boosted regression trees. Chimpanzee activity concentrated above 750 m on steeper slopes with high EVI, hunting was less prevalent in dense tree cover, both avoided research ...

PurposeIn this study we develop undersampled echo-volumar imaging (EVI) using multi-band/simultaneous multi-slab encoding in conjunction with multi-shot slab-segmentation to accelerate 3D encoding and to reduce the duration of EVI encoding within slabs ...

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Previously, we developed a simple and accurate method to measure intragastric pressure (IP) using upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. This study prospectively characterized the IP at the first point of visually defined strong extension of the gastric wall and evaluated the diagnostic performance of the non‐extension sign (NES)

ABSTRACT Introduction Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) remains a distinct and aggressive malignancy whose underlying antigenic triggers are largely unknown. While autoantigens such as neurabin‐I and SAMD14 have been implicated, the potential role of infectious agents in driving clonal B‐cell receptor selection within the central nervous ...
