ABSTRACT The detection of buried or obscured archaeological features remains a central challenge in landscape archaeology, particularly in the irrigated floodplains of Mesopotamia where levees and canals formed the basis of complex agrarian systems. This study presents a deep learning–based approach for the large‐scale, automated detection of ancient ...

Tissue-specific upregulation of MDS/EVI gene transcripts in the intestine by thyroid hormone during Xenopus metamorphosis. [PDF]
Intestinal remodeling during amphibian metamorphosis resembles the maturation of the adult intestine during mammalian postembryonic development when the adult epithelial self-renewing system is established under the influence of high concentrations of ...

We compared Landsat‐8 OLI, SPOT, and hyperspectral data for estimating vascular plant diversity in China's Hunshandak Sandland. SPOT data showed the strongest correlation with alpha diversity, followed by hyperspectral data, with Landsat‐8 performing the weakest.

Global analysis suggests nitrogen deposition as an underestimated driver of vegetation greening
The local effects of atmospheric nitrogen deposition on plants are well established, yet a global empirical analysis of nitrogen deposition effects on vegetation dynamics is missing. Here, we assess how nitrogen deposition, alongside other global change drivers such as fire, and changes in temperature, precipitation and human land use, is related to ...

Euromaidan and Ukrainian Subjective Well‐Being
ABSTRACT The 2013–2014 Euromaidan in Ukraine was the largest series of pro‐European protests in history. Peaceful civilian protests were met with state violence, resulting in widespread civil unrest, over 100 deaths, and nearly 2000 injuries. The Russo‐Ukrainian War broke out shortly after. We examined the immediate and long‐term changes in Ukrainians’
