OFDM error floor based EVM estimation

2016 24th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM), 2016
The residual BER - error floor, though useful and widely used metrics for the end-to-end digital radio transmission performance, provides no insight into the error-generating analog impairments (e.g. modulation signal inaccuracy, power amplifier compression, carrier recovery phase error, or I-Q cross- talk), which, however, are easy to identify (so can

Unlocking Hidden Dimensions of EVMS

INCOSE International Symposium, 2020
AbstractThe Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS) is a widely adopted, but not highly acclaimed, technique for measuring and forecasting the status of projects. Past research has examined some of the perceived shortcomings of the EVMS technique, and more recent research has identified methods for improving the standard EVMS calculation techniques ...

On the EVM of sequences

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2011
Along with PAPR and PMEPR, the error vector magnitude (EVM) measure for sequences is of importance for applications in OFDM communication systems with clipping. No analytical method for calculation of EVM is currently known. It is shown that EVM can be computed as a power series in the length of the sequence with coefficients depending on the alphabet ...

EVM Simulation and Analysis Techniques

MILCOM 2006, 2006
EVM (Error Vector Magnitude) is used as the metric for transmitter signal quality compliance in many modern communication systems. Examples include IS-54/IS-136, GSM/EDGE, 3GPP-WCDMA, and 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN commercial standards. MUOS (Mobile User Objective System) [1][3] is an example of a next generation military communications system leveraging

Decompilation of EVM bytecode

2020

Minimum-EVM N-continuous OFDM

2016 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2016
The N-continuous precoder for the suppression of OOB emission in OFDM systems that minimizes the EVM is introduced. We show that the minimum in-band interference due to the introduced precoding approach is 3 dB less than the inband interference of existing N-continuous precoders.

VNC server based EVM system

2017 International Conference on Energy, Communication, Data Analytics and Soft Computing (ICECDS), 2017
Earlier EVMs is used to record number of votes where ballot papers of boxes were used in conventional method of voting system. In this paper the VNC server based Ras pberry Pi 3 Electronic voting machine is designed and implimented. The Raspberry Pi 3 VNC server based EVM system has high security with passwor d by using a aadhar id and finger print ...

The EVM Fundamentals

2009
Earned Value Management (EVM) is a methodology used since the 1960s, when the USA department of defense proposed a standard method to measure a project’s performance. The system relies on a set of often straightforward metrics to measure and evaluate the general health of a project.

EVM measurement techniques for MUOS

MILCOM 2009 - 2009 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2009
Physical layer simulations and analysis techniques were used to develop the Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) metric specifying transmitter signal quality. These tools also proved to be very useful in specifying lower level hardware unit performance and predicting Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite 8-PSK transmitter performance before the ...

VARIANCE ANALYSIS : EARNED VALUE MANAGEMENT (EVM)

SINERGI : Jurnal Riset Ilmiah, 2020
Construction project management is a complex process that involves the integrated management of time, cost, and quality to achieve the desired results as planned. Effective supervision is needed so that the project can run according to the target without experiencing time or cost losses.
