Tagging and Referrals in the EVM Architecture

2006 IEEE/WIC/ACM International Conference on Intelligent Agent Technology, 2006
The Evolvable Virtual Machine architecture (EVM) is a computing architecture based on the notion of distributed interactive asynchronously communicating agents. The EVM provides a massively decentralised and distributed asynchronous framework for experimenting with and studying properties of artificial evolutionary and open multi-agent systems.

Minimum-EVM N-continuous OFDM

2016 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2016
The N-continuous precoder for the suppression of OOB emission in OFDM systems that minimizes the EVM is introduced. We show that the minimum in-band interference due to the introduced precoding approach is 3 dB less than the inband interference of existing N-continuous precoders.

EVM Estimation in RF/Wireless Components

2007 IEEE 18th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2007
This paper presents advancement in power amplifier PA, distortion evaluation through the system figure of merit error vector magnitude EVM. Previous studies had quantified the EVM in a memoryless device and related to signal-noise ratio, SNR. With the increase in the bit per hertz relation and amplitude variations in the modulated waveform found in the

Unlocking Hidden Dimensions of EVMS

INCOSE International Symposium, 2020
AbstractThe Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS) is a widely adopted, but not highly acclaimed, technique for measuring and forecasting the status of projects. Past research has examined some of the perceived shortcomings of the EVMS technique, and more recent research has identified methods for improving the standard EVMS calculation techniques ...

Decompilation of EVM bytecode

2020

The EVM Fundamentals

2009
Earned Value Management (EVM) is a methodology used since the 1960s, when the USA department of defense proposed a standard method to measure a project’s performance. The system relies on a set of often straightforward metrics to measure and evaluate the general health of a project.

EVM: Lifelong reinforcement and self-learning

2009 International Multiconference on Computer Science and Information Technology, 2009
Open-ended systems and unknown dynamical environments present challenges to the traditional machine learning systems, and in many cases traditional methods are not applicable. Lifelong reinforcement learning is a special case of dynamic (process-oriented) reinforcement learning.

Artificial Evolution and the EVM Architecture

2009
This article presents the concepts behind the Evolvable Virtual Machine architecture (EVM). We focus on the main features, its biological inspirations and the main characteristics of the implementation. EVM has been designed from ground up with the automated program generation in mind and utilises a modern stack-based virtual machine design.

EVM based AMC for an OFDM system

2010 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS), 2010
A conventional OFDM system often poses a stringent linearity requirement to the transmitter, especially the radio-frequency power amplifier (RFPA), to maintain its bit error rate (BER). As a result, the output power from a RFPA is often limited, thus, the communication distance is compromised.

EVM measurement techniques for MUOS

MILCOM 2009 - 2009 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2009
Physical layer simulations and analysis techniques were used to develop the Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) metric specifying transmitter signal quality. These tools also proved to be very useful in specifying lower level hardware unit performance and predicting Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite 8-PSK transmitter performance before the ...
