Assessing Performance and Crossover Operators on Differential Evolution for Attribute Weighting
Machine learning has a wide range of applications, including classification, which categorizes elements based on their characteristics. This paper addresses the challenge of optimizing attribute weighting while assessing two crossover operators on ...

‘Guide and Prejudice’— How Argonautes recognize targets across domains of life
Argonaute proteins use short nucleic‐acid guides to locate and regulate specific targets across all domains of life. Despite striking diversity—from human gene silencing to bacterial immune defence—all Argonautes share a conserved three‐stage recognition logic: guide‐directed sampling, progressive target pairing with a conformational checkpoint and ...

Fractional Evolution Equations Governed by Coercive Differential Operators
This paper is concerned with evolution equations of fractional order Dαu(t)=Au(t); u(0)=u0, u′(0)=0, where A is a differential operator corresponding to a coercive polynomial taking values in a sector of angle less than π and ...

Structural and biochemical analysis of a B12 superbinder
BtuG proteins are vitamin B12 scavengers in Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, a dominant human gut bacterium. We present crystal structures of three BtuG homologs bound to cobalamin and its precursor cobinamide, revealing picomolar binding affinities, among the highest known for any natural protein.

In this paper we prove the existence of a mild solution for a semilinear evolution differential inclusion with nonlocal condition and governed by a family of linear operators, not necessarily bounded or closed, in a Banach space.

Three-loop evolution kernel for transversity operator
We calculate quantum corrections to the symmetry generators for the transversity operators in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) in the two-loop approximation.

Fuzzy Fractional Evolution Equations and Fuzzy Solution Operators
In this paper, the fuzzy fractional evolution equations of order q (FFEE) with fuzzy Caputo fractional derivative are introduced. We study the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions for FFEE under some conditions.

How do genomes gain new functional parts? In eukaryotes, which tend to evolve under weak selection, much of the genome is junk. Palazzo and Qiu borrow the logic of Markov chains to show how non‐functional DNA becomes functional through the appearance of intermediate states, which arise due to epistasis, buffering, and biochemical messiness, allowing ...
