Pareto optimal approach in Multi-Objective Chaotic Mutation Immune Evolutionary Programming (MOCMIEP) for optimal Distributed Generation Photovoltaic (DGPV) integration in power system

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2019
The latest advancement in the technology, including the integration of the renewable energy resources, has become a recent trend in the power system infrastructure. Although, this can bring many benefits, excessive integration without proper planning may

Modelling the Evolution of Programming Languages [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Programming languages are engineered languages that allow to instruct a machine and share algorithmic information; they have a great influence on the society since they underlie almost every information technology artefact, and they are at the core of the current explosion of software technology.

Evolutionary Computing for Operating Point Analysis of Nonlinear Circuits

open access: yes, 2000
The DC operating point of an electronic circuit is conventionally found using the Newton-Raphson method. This method is not globally convergent and can only find one solution of the circuit at a time.

Boundaries of photosynthesis: adaptations of carbon fixation in extreme environments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Photosynthesis faces challenges from environmental extremes of temperature, pH, and salinity, limiting gas diffusion, modifying membrane fluidity, and destabilizing photochemical and biochemical reactions. Photosynthetic organisms have evolved unique adaptations overcoming these stresses and maintaining their photosynthetic activity.

Knockout of the mitoribosome rescue factors Ict1 or Mtrfr is viable in zebrafish but not mice: compensatory mechanisms underlying each factor's loss

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mitochondria contain two mitoribosome rescue factors, ICT1 and MTRFR (C12orf65). ICT1 also functions as a mitoribosomal protein in mice and humans, and its loss is lethal. Although Mtrfr knockout mice could not be generated, knockout zebrafish lines for ict1 and mtrfr were established.

Economic optimization and evolutionary programming when using remote sensing data

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2018
The article considers the issues of optimizing the use of remote sensing data. Built a mathematical model to describe the economic effect of the use of remote sensing data. It is shown that this model is incorrect optimisation task.

Scaling Genetic Programming for Source Code Modification [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
In Search Based Software Engineering, Genetic Programming has been used for bug fixing, performance improvement and parallelisation of programs through the modification of source code. Where an evolutionary computation algorithm, such as Genetic Programming, is to be applied to similar code manipulation tasks, the complexity and size of source code for

Making Indefinite Kernel Learning Practical [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we embed evolutionary computation into statistical learning theory. First, we outline the connection between large margin optimization and statistical learning and see why this paradigm is successful for many pattern recognition problems ...
