Programming adaptive laboratory evolution of 4-hydroxyisoleucine production driven by a lysine biosensor in Corynebacterium glutamicum

open access: yesAMB Express, 2021
4-Hydroxyisoleucine (4-HIL) is a promising drug for treating diabetes. In our previous study, 4-HIL was synthesized from self-produced L-isoleucine (Ile) in Corynebacterium glutamicum by expressing an Ile dioxygenase gene.

Modelling and trading the Greek stock market with gene expression and genetic programing algorithms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper presents an application of the gene expression programming (GEP) and integrated genetic programming (GP) algorithms to the modelling of ASE 20 Greek index. GEP and GP are robust evolutionary algorithms that evolve computer programs in the form

UTILISATION OF EVOLUTION ALGORITHM IN PRODUCTION LAYOUT DESIGN [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Computer Science, 2017
The need for flexibility of layout planning puts higher requirements for uti-lisation of layout and location problem solving methods. Classical methods, like linear programming, dynamic programming or conventional heuristics are being replaced by ...

Deconstructing Evolutionary Programming with ELISOR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The understanding of object-oriented languages is a confirmed obstacle. After years of confusing research into massive multiplayer online role-playing games, we disconfirm the development of scatter/gather I/O.

Optimal SNP filtering strategies for pedigree reconstruction: A case study with wild red‐spotted masu salmon population

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, Volume 67, Issue 2, Page 125-139, April 2025.
In this article, we tested optimal SNP filtering strategies for accurate parentage assignment and pedigree reconstruction for a wild population of red‐spotted masu salmon, Oncorhynchus masou ishikawae. We found that mid‐point filtering in terms of call rate and minor allele frequency performs well for pedigree reconstruction.

Basic Evolutionary Approach to the Traveling Salesman Problem

open access: yesU.Porto Journal of Engineering, 2015
Evolutionary programming (EP) is a metaheuristic method developed as an alternative approach to artificial intelligence. The aim of this paper is to bring an introduction to EP algorithms through the implementation of the basic D. B. Fogel’s Evolutionary
