An Efficient Sieve Algorithm with Evolutionary Technique
2020 IEEE 20th International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT), 2020Sieve algorithm plays an important role in solving the shortest vector problem, which is one of the most representative hard lattice problems. In this paper, we propose an efficient sieve algorithm with evolutionary techniques. By combining Gauss Sieve algorithm with global selection, we propose an efficient sieve algorithm.

Evolutionary Techniques in Physical Robotics
2000Evolutionary and coevolutionary techniques have become a popular area of research for those interested in automated design. One of the cutting edge issues in this field is the ability to apply these techniques to real physical systems with all the complexities and affordances that such systems present.

Comparison of metamodeling techniques in evolutionary algorithms
Soft Computing, 2016Although researchers have successfully incorporated metamodels in evolutionary algorithms to solve computational-expensive optimization problems, they have scarcely performed comparisons among different metamodeling techniques. This paper presents an in-depth comparison study over four of the most popular metamodeling techniques: polynomial response ...

Solving equations by hybrid evolutionary computation techniques [PDF]
Evolutionary computation techniques have mostly been used to solve various optimization and learning problems. This paper describes a novel application of evolutionary computation techniques to equation solving. Several combinations of evolutionary computation techniques and classical numerical methods are proposed to solve linear and partial ...

Evolutionary Techniques for Image Segmentation
2014Evolutionary algorithms are used in many engineering applications for optimization of problems that are often difficult to solve using conventional methods. One such problem is image segmentation. This task is used for object (contour) extraction from images to create sensible representation of the image.

Uncertainties reducing Techniques in evolutionary computation
2007 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation, 2007Real-world applications are bound to have certain level of uncertainty inherent in them. Among this noise is one of the most predominant factors affecting the optimization process whether it is conventional or evolutionary techniques. The evolutionary optimization techniques are found to be inherently stronger and robust to noisy environments but they ...

An Evolutionary ILS-Perturbation Technique
2008This contribution proposes a new perturbation technique for the iterated local search metaheuristic, which consists in a micro evolutionary algorithm that effectively explores the neighborhood of the solution that should undergo the perturbation operator.

Evolutionary Techniques for Automation
2009In this chapter, evolutionary techniques (ETs) will be introduced for treating automation problems in factory, manufacturing, planning and scheduling, and logistics and transportation systems. ET is the most popular metaheuristic method for solving NP-hard optimization problems.
