MRI in Sheep Model for Myelomeningocele Repair Using a Novel Polymer and Other Dural Patches
ABSTRACT Objective To compare postnatal MRI outcomes after prenatal myelomeningocele repair using three different dural substitutes. Method 32 sheep fetuses were included, with 34.3%(11/32) serving as healthy controls and the remaining undergoing prenatal spinal lumbar defect creation to recreate a myelomeningocele in the fetus.

Capsicum chinense as an African traditional vegetable: Culture, resilience, and opportunity
Capsicum chinense is central to everyday diets, cultural identity, and smallholder livelihoods across Sub‐Saharan Africa, yet remains overlooked in agricultural research and policy. This paper reframes C. chinense as a traditional, climate‐resilient vegetable shaped by centuries of farmer stewardship and cultural selection.

Research progress on the effect of dietary energy level on reproductive performance of ewes
Energy is one of the important factors affecting the reproductive performance of ewes. Meeting the energy needs of ewe in different periods is an important measure to improve the efficiency of ewe production, which is of great significance to ensure ewe ...

ABSTRACT Climate change is reshaping everyday life in Ghana through coastal erosion, flooding, erratic rainfall, water scarcity, extreme heat, and agricultural insecurity. This study examines how these changes produce stress, trauma, and gendered resilience among women in Salakope and Choggu Yapalsi, two climate‐vulnerable communities in coastal and ...

Implications for early rearing techniques: ovarian dynamic and hormonal effects in Barki Ewes
Background Compared to mature ewes, the ovarian dynamics and hormonal characteristics of ewe lambs aged 10–12 months are still poorly understood, although reproductive efficiency in sheep is essential for increasing flock productivity.

Downstream EWS/FLI1 - upstream Ewing's sarcoma [PDF]
Ewing's sarcoma family tumors are a good example of how genome research has advanced our understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of an otherwise enigmatic disease. This group of embryonal bone tumors is characterized by the expression of a chimeric ETS-family oncogene, predominantly EWS/FLI1.

Abstract Background Laparoscopic intrauterine artificial insemination (Lap‐AI) is used in sheep genetic improvement programmes. However, the lambing rate (LR) (i.e., the proportion of inseminated ewes that lamb) following Lap‐AI is variable. Previously, one small UK study investigated factors associated with LR, but it did not adjust for dependencies ...
