Shepherds' perception of the effectiveness and feasibility of herd protection measures against wolf predation in Lower Saxony, Germany

We assessed shepherds' attitudes toward wolves and their perceptions of herd protection measures. Negative views were common among hobby shepherds and those affected by surplus killings, while professional and part‐time shepherds, especially those with minor attack experiences, held more neutral or positive attitudes.
