The Sequential Normal Scores Transformation

open access: yes, 2017
The sequential analysis of series often requires nonparametric procedures, where the most powerful ones frequently use rank transformations. Re-ranking the data sequence after each new observation can become too intensive computationally. This led to the

Limit Properties of EWMA Charts for Stationary Processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we consider a general family of EWMA charts for an arbitrary parameter of the target process. Our assumptions on the target process are very weak and they are usually satisfied if it is stationary. We distinguish between the EWMA chart based on the exact variance and the EWMA scheme based on the asymptotic variance.

The Application of Six Sigma to Assess the Analytical Performance of Plasma Proteins and Design a Risk‐Based Statistical Quality Control Strategy: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 39, Issue 16, August 2025.
The six sigma model can objectively assess the analytical performance of plasma proteins. Different control concentrations yield different sigma values, which are visually displayed through standardized sigma performance verification charts. The six sigma model enables the development of personalized quality control strategies for each assay.

A Study Of Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (Ewma) Methodologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Tesis ini adalah berkenaan dengan penggunaan carta PBBE, suatu alternatif kepada carta Shewhart dan Carta Hasil Tambah Longgokan (HTL), untuk mengesan perubahan yang berlaku di dalam suatu proses.

Loss-Based Control Charts for Monitoring Non-Normal Process Data

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Quality and loss of products are crucial factors in competitive companies, and firms widely adopt a loss function to measure the loss caused by a deviation in the quality variable from the target value.

A Spatiotemporal Scheme for Process Control Using Image Analysis of Speckle Patterns

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, Volume 41, Issue 5, Page 1773-1788, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Conventional image‐based process control schemes require distinct, detectable features (e.g., edges or textures). In the absence of such features, current methods fail or require additional preprocessing. They are also prone to false detections from random noise, dirt, or scratches on the surface.

Review on Information Fusion‐Based Data Mining for Improving Complex Anomaly Detection

open access: yesWIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Volume 15, Issue 2, June 2025.
The performance of information fusion techniques within the framework of various anomaly detection methods applied in sensor data mining. ABSTRACT Anomaly predicated upon multiple distributed hybrid sensors frequently uses hybrid approaches, integrating techniques derived from statistical analysis, probability, data mining, machine learning, deep ...

Tensor‐based process control and monitoring for semiconductor manufacturing with unstable disturbances

open access: yesNaval Research Logistics (NRL), Volume 72, Issue 3, Page 356-371, April 2025.
Abstract With the development and popularity of sensors installed in manufacturing systems, complex data are collected during manufacturing processes, which brings challenges for traditional process control methods. This paper proposes a novel process control and monitoring method for the complex structure of high‐dimensional image‐based overlay errors

An Examination of the Robustness to Non Normality of the EWMA Control Charts for the Dispersion [PDF]

open access: yes
The EWMA control chart is used to detect small shifts in a process. It has been shown that, for certain values of the smoothing parameter, the EWMA chart for the mean is robust to non normality.

Statistical methods for cricket team selection : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirement of the degree of Master of Applied Statistics at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Cricket generates a large amount of data for both batsmen and bowlers. Methods for using this data to select a cricket team are examined. Utilising the assumption that an individual's natural ability is expressed via performance outputs, this thesis ...
