ABSTRACT On sheltered rocky shores in SE Brazil, variation in habitat configuration (non‐isolated vs. isolated boulders) acts as a natural exclusion experiment on a key isopod consumer, leading to potential interspecific competitive release. The semiterrestrial grazing isopod Ligia exotica forages almost exclusively on non‐isolated boulders, resulting ...

Regulatory compliance and support for altered management of the exotic pet trade
Abstract Globally, the exotic pet trade has contributed to species invasion, disease, and animal welfare risks. Although scientists have advocated for increased trade regulation, the success of management and regulatory efforts depends on compliance by participants in the exotic pet trade. We used a regulatory compliance framework to investigate exotic

Wild mammal populations appear to exhibit a theoretical sequence of changes in their vital rates when they reach high densities; however, it is unknown whether this occurs in biological invasions. Data from eradications of invasive mammals can corroborate and complement this theoretical framework by providing accurate age‐specific vital rates. Invasive

Neutral exotica at FASERν and SND@LHC
The (g − 2) μ anomaly indicates that the second generation of leptons should have new interactions beyond the standard model. The high flux of ν μ and ν ¯ $$ \overline{\nu} $$ μ at the forward experiments such as FASERν and SND@LHC makes them suitable ...

Management of invasive alien plants in forests: A global perspective
This review exposes urgent and critical knowledge gaps in forest IAP management, which need addressing to meet global targets for biodiversity and forest health. These gaps include highly uneven global research effort, narrow species focus, limited method replication, overlooked seasonal effects, and inconsistent cost reporting.

Hyperdominance of Exotic Invasive Trees in Street Afforestation of Semi‐Arid Brazilian Cities
Cities of the Brazilian semi‐arid region are dominated by non‐native species. Fifty percent of urban afforestation is composed of the invasive species Azadirachta indica. The urbanization gradient does not affect the richness of non‐native species. Cities farther away from the Brazilian coast are mostly biodiversity‐unfriendly.

Austere Moral Ecologies and Artificial Agents
Abstract There are underappreciated moral costs for deploying artificially intelligent agents in our present bureaucratically and market‐structured world. Currently, AI systems lack the interiority and mutual vulnerability required for genuine moral relationality.

The high collision energies reached at the LHC lead to significant production yields of light (anti-)nuclei and (hyper-)nuclei in proton–proton, proton–lead and, in particular, lead–lead collisions.
