Past, present and future of local crop evolution
PLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.Promoting agrobiodiversity is a promising strategy for mitigating the negative effects of climate change on global food security. We highlight the central role evolutionary processes play in harnessing the potential of local crops by integrating genomics, archaeology, ethnobotany and traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).

Aqueous and Surfactant‐Free Synthesis of Nanoscale Covalent Organic Frameworks
Angewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 5, 28 January 2026.We report an aqueous, surfactant‐free, and versatile synthesis method for imine‐linked nanoCOFs incorporating porphyrin units, with tunable size and morphology. The resulting nanoCOFs exhibit excellent aqueous dispersibility, strong light absorption, and significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity.
