We prove that the English auction (with bidders that need not be ex ante identical and may have interdependent valuations) has an efficient ex post equilibrium. We establish this result for environments where it has not been previously obtained.

Remote Magnetomechanical Neuromodulation Uncovers Therapeutic Mechanisms for Alleviating Parkinsonian Symptoms in Freely Moving Mice

Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

High‐Power Terahertz Emission from Picosecond Nano‐Plasma Switching Driven by Secondary Electron Emission Avalanche

A nano‐plasma device enables watt‐level on‐chip THz generation through picosecond switching triggered by secondary electron emission avalanche. An ultra‐dense electron sheet initiates nano‐plasma formation within a ∼100 nm gap, driving rapid energy release into an integrated resonator.
