On contractual solutions to hold-up problems with quality uncertainty and unobservable investments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A seller and a buyer can write a contract. After that, the seller produces a good. She can influence the expected quality of the good by making unobservable investments. Only the seller learns the realized quality. Finally, trade can occur.

Robust Bilateral Trade and an Essay on Awareness as an Equilibrium Notion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The aim of this thesis is to analyze various effects of informational constraints. In chapters 1 and 2 we consider a robust model of bilateral trade where traders have private reservation values and utility functions are common knowledge. In chapter 1 we

Translational Considerations for Injectable Biomaterials and Bioscaffolds to Repair and Regenerate Brain Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The repair and regeneration of brain tissue faces both biological and technical challenges. Injectable bioscaffolds offer new opportunities to stimulate tissue regrowth in the brain by recruiting neural stem cells. Here, the translational issues are reviewed that need to be address to advance this promising new therapeutic approach from the bench to ...

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Causal connection of macro and micro systems in function of spatial - temporal resonance

open access: yes, 2023
By discovering natural laws, one learns about relatively stable causal connections between objects and phenomena. Causal relations can be functionally connected (when one phenomenon without exception causes another - natural phenomena) and stochastically
