ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Exact controllability for a nonlinear stochastic wave equation
The exact controllability for a semilinear stochastic wave equation with a boundary control is established. The target and initial spaces are L2(G)×H−1(G) with G being a bounded open subset of R3 and the nonlinear terms having at most a linear growth.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Exact controllability of conformable linear systems with semilinear boundary control
In this manuscript, we investigate the exact controllability of a class of linear systems governed by conformable fractional derivatives of order α in (0; 1] subject to semilinear boundary control in Banach spaces.

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Null controllability of a nonlinear heat equation
We study the internal exact null controllability of a nonlinear heat equation with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. The method used combines the Kakutani fixed-point theorem and the Carleman estimates for the backward adjoint linearized system ...

On the Controllability for Second Order Hyperbolic Equations in Curved Polygons
In this work we study exact boundary controllability for a class of hyperbolic linear partial differential equation with constant coefficient which includes the linear Klein-Gordon equation.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
