EXACT NULL CONTROLLABILITY OF A FRACTIONAL NONLOCAL DELAY EVOLUTION SYSTEM

open access: yesJournal of Applied Analysis & Computation
Summary: We delve into the exact null controllability problem of a fractional nonlocal weighted delay abstract system. For this strategy, we launch the resolvent trick and the approximation solvability method to construct control-state approximation sequence pairs twice to explore the problem without involving the compactness of semigroups and nonlocal

Exact null controllability of degenerate evolution equations with scalar control

Sbornik: Mathematics, 2012
Necessary and sufficient conditions for the exact null controllability of a degenerate linear evolution equation with scalar control are obtained. These general results are used to examine the exact null controllability of the Dzektser equation in the theory of seepage. Bibliography: 13 titles.

Exact Null Controllability of a Stage and Age-Structured Population Dynamics System

Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2013
The Lobesia botrana model representing age- and stage-dependent life cycle dynamics of the most serious grape pest insect is studied. The authors establish the existence of a control with respect to the egg individuals such that the egg population except small enough age groups can be controlled to be zero in a finite time.

Exact Null-Controllability of Evolution Equations by Smooth Controls and Applications to Controllability of Interconnected Systems

, 2015
The aim of this work is to establish exact null-controllability conditions for a linear evolution equation in the class of smooth controls. Applications to the controllability of system consisting of two serially connected abstract control systems are considered.

Exact Null Controllability of a Nonlinear Thermoelastic Contact Problem

Applied Mathematics and Optimization, 2004
We study the controllability properties of a nonlinear parabolic system that models the temperature evolution of a one-dimensional thermoelastic rod that may come into contact with a rigid obstacle. Basically the system dynamics is described by a one-dimensional nonlocal heat equation with a nonlinear and nonlocal boundary condition of Newmann type. We

Exact null controllability of infinite dimensional linear systems via bounded control functions

Fifth World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation (IEEE Cat. No.04EX788), 2004
This paper considers the problem of exact null controllability of linear control systems with compact semigroup in non-reflexive state spaces and control spaces. The weak convergence of bounded sequence of control functions with respect to the subspace of the dual space is studied and a lemma for the weak convergence is proved.
