Exact Penalty Functions in Nondifferentiable Programming Problems

open access: yesExact Penalty Functions in Nondifferentiable Programming Problems
application/pdf 論文(Article) In this note, some results of [5,Di Pillo and Grippo, JOTA,Vol.57,N0.3,1988] are extended to nondifferentiable prograrnming problems. The objective function and constraint functions are assumed to be locally Lipschitz. The main tool of this study is the concept of nonsmooth analysis.

Exact penalty functions for optimal control problems

open access: yes
A novel technique to solve optimal control problems with state constraints is proposed. We exploit the theory of exact penalty functions, used in mathematical programming, to construct a systematic procedure to transform two classes of problems with state constraints to equivalent penalized unconstrained problems. We focus on a special class of systems
