An exact interior Kerr solution [PDF]
We present a simple exact solution for the interior of a rotating star. The interpretation of the stress energy tensor as that of a fluid requires the existence of a high viscosity, which is quite expected for a rotating fluid. In spite of the negative stresses, energy conditions are in fact all satisfied.

Spiked oscillators: exact solution [PDF]
A procedure to obtain the eigenenergies and eigenfunctions of a quantum spiked oscillator is presented. The originality of the method lies in an adequate use of asymptotic expansions of Wronskians of algebraic solutions of the Schroedinger equation. The procedure is applied to three familiar examples of spiked oscillators.

Exact solution of the robust knapsack problem.
We consider an uncertain variant of the knapsack problem in which the weight of the items is not exactly known in advance, but belongs to a given interval, and an upper bound is imposed on the number of items whose weight differs from the expected one. For this problem, we provide a dynamic programming algorithm and present techniques aimed at reducing

On the Exact Solution for the Schrödinger Equation
For almost 75 years, the general solution for the Schrödinger equation was assumed to be generated by an exponential or a time-ordered exponential known as the Dyson series.

Analytical and Numerical Solution of Heat Transfer Equation in Rectangular Composite Fins [PDF]
Today, the use of composites has received widespread attention due to their special properties that cannot be found in alloys. Kevlar-Epoxy composite is one of the most widely used materials. In this paper, we analyze the heat transfer in rectangular fin

Exact and Approximate Solutions for Some Classes of the Inhomogeneous Pantograph Equation
The standard pantograph delay equation (SPDDE) is one of the famous delay models. This standard model is basically homogeneous in nature and it has been extensively studied in the literature. However, the studies on the general inhomogeneous form of such

EXACT INFLATIONARY SOLUTIONS [PDF]
We present a new class of exact inflationary solutions for the evolution of a universe with spatial curvature, filled with a perfect fluid, a scalar field with potential V±(ϕ) = λ(ϕ2 ± δ2)2 and a cosmological constant Λ. With the V+(ϕ) potential and a negative cosmological constant, the scale factor experiments a graceful exit.

Sampling moiré method: A more exact solution
An important task in the sampling moiré method is phase measurement of a grating image by using the phase of the moiré fringe from a single-shot image.

Exact Solutions for Loewner Evolutions [PDF]
In this note, we solve the Loewner equation in the upper half-plane with forcing function xi(t), for the cases in which xi(t) has a power-law dependence on time with powers 0, 1/2 and 1. In the first case the trace of singularities is a line perpendicular to the real axis. In the second case the trace of singularities can do three things.

Exact Solution of Schrödinger Equation for Pentaquark Systems [PDF]
In this paper, we present an exact analytical solution for five interacting quarks. We solve the Schr\"{o}dinger equation for pentaquarks in the framework of five-body and two-body problems.
