Discrete model of the pile foundation

open access: yesИнженерно-строительный журнал, 2015
The solid pile foundation is modeled by elastic vertical bars distributed over the area of the base in a uniform grid. It was assumed that the body of the structure is rigid, its weight is offset from the geometric center.

Integrability and Seiberg-Witten Exact Solution

open access: yes, 1995
The exact Seiberg-Witten (SW) description of the light sector in the $N=2$ SUSY $4d$ Yang-Mills theory is reformulated in terms of integrable systems and appears to be a Gurevich-Pitaevsky (GP) solution to the elliptic Whitham equations. We consider this

Exact solution of the two-axis countertwisting Hamiltonian [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
It is shown that the two-axis countertwisting Hamiltonian is exactly solvable when the quantum number of the total angular momentum of the system is an integer after the Jordan-Schwinger (differential) boson realization of the SU(2) algebra.

Combining transient dynamics and logistic‐asymptotic growth to study the recovery of two seabird populations after rat eradication

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
This study examines the demographic dynamics of two seabird populations on Tromelin Island, 15 years after the eradication of brown rats. The results indicate that these populations are in good health and are expected to continue growing until breeding sites are saturated in about a century.

New waves solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional generalized Hirota–Satsuma–Ito equation using a novel expansion method

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
Numerous scientific fields depend on precise solutions, which can be obtained for nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) through various techniques. It is important to note that solutions obtained through different approaches can vary.

New exact solution of Dirac-Coulomb equation with exact boundary condition

open access: yes, 2007
It usually writes the boundary condition of the wave equation in the Coulomb field as a rough form without considering the size of the atomic nucleus. The rough expression brings on that the solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation and the Dirac equation ...

Geographic variation in walking activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
This study examined whether there is geographic variation in field populations, focusing on the moving activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum. Results showed significant differences in moving activity among field populations but no correlation with latitude or meteorological factors.

Exact solution of peristaltic flow of biviscosity fluid in an endoscope: A note

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2014
This article deals with the peristaltic flow of biviscosity fluid in an endoscope. This study concentrates on the MHD characteristics and endoscope effects for peristaltic flow of a biviscosity fluid. Exact solutions are computed.

Exact solution of the infrared problem [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1983
A simple but rigorous solution of the infrared problem is obtained. The basis of this solution is a factorization of the operator corresponding to the Feynman coordinate space plus all electromagnetic corrections to it into a product of two operators. The first is a unitary operator that represents precisely the contribution corresponding to classical ...

Exact solution of a spin-ladder model

open access: yes, 1999
An integrable spin-ladder model with nearest-neighbor exchanges and biquadratic interactions is proposed. With the Bethe ansatz solutions of the model hamiltonian, it is found that there are three possible phases in the ground state, i.e., a rung ...
