Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Exact solutions of (deformed) Jackiw–Teitelboim gravity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
It is well known that Jackiw–Teitelboim (JT) gravity posses the simplest theory on 2-dimensional gravity. The model has been fruitfully studied in recent years.

NRASQ61R Expression in Lymphatic Endothelial Cells Causes Enlarged Vessels, Hemorrhagic Chylous Effusions, and High Mortality in a Mouse Model of Kaposiform Lymphangiomatosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

On Solving the Minimum Spanning Tree Problem with Conflicting Edge Pairs

open access: yesAlgorithms
The Minimum Spanning Tree with Conflicting Edge Pairs is a generalization that adds conflict constraints to a classical optimization problem on graphs used to model several real-world applications.

Exact String Solutions in Nontrivial Backgrounds

open access: yes, 2001
We show how the classical string dynamics in $D$-dimensional gravity background can be reduced to the dynamics of a massless particle constrained on a certain surface whenever there exists at least one Killing vector for the background metric.

Financial Burden Associated With Hospitalisation Among Families of Childhood Brain Tumours in Australia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

The exact cosmological solutions for tachyon fields

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2011
The application of the method of super-potential to the solution of the problems of cosmology with the tachyon fields is examined. The classes of exact solutions are found and the periods of time with the predominance of dark energy are established.

A Compact Model for the Clustered Orienteering Problem

open access: yesLogistics
Background: The Clustered Orienteering Problem is an optimization problem faced in last-mile logistics. The aim is, given an available time window, to visit vertices and to collect as much profit as possible in the given time.

E10 Cosmology

open access: yes, 2005
We construct simple exact solutions to the E10/K(E10) coset model by exploiting its integrability. Using the known correspondences with the bosonic sectors of maximal supergravity theories, these exact solutions translate into exact cosmological ...

Exact Solutions for Loewner Evolutions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Physics, 2004
In this note, we solve the Loewner equation in the upper half-plane with forcing function xi(t), for the cases in which xi(t) has a power-law dependence on time with powers 0, 1/2 and 1. In the first case the trace of singularities is a line perpendicular to the real axis. In the second case the trace of singularities can do three things.
