On the New Description of Exceptional Sets in Asymptotic Estimates for the Entire Functions and the Laplace–Stieltjes Integrals

open access: yesAxioms
We obtain a new extended description of the exceptional set in the asymptotic Borel-type relation in terms of the maximum of the integrand function for the Laplace–Stieltjes integrals.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Ill-distributed sets over global fields and exceptional sets in Diophantine Geometry

open access: yes, 2019
Let $K\subseteq \mathbb{R}$ be a number field. Using techniques of discrete analysis, we prove that for definable sets $X$ in $\mathbb{R}_{\exp}$ of dimension at most $2$ a conjecture of Wilkie about the density of rational points is equivalent to the ...

The exceptional set of Goldbach numbers (II) [PDF]

open access: yesActa Arithmetica, 2000
Numbers which are sums of two odd primes are called Goldbach numbers. Let \(E(x)\) denote the number of even numbers up to \(x\) which are not Goldbach numbers, so that the Goldbach conjecture is that \(E(x)=2\) for every \(x\geq 4\). \textit{H. L. Montgomery} and \textit{R. C. Vaughan} [Acta Arith. 27, 353-370 (1975; Zbl 0301.10043)] first proved that

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Self-attention with temporal prior: can we learn more from the arrow of time?

open access: yesFrontiers in Artificial Intelligence
Many diverse phenomena in nature often inherently encode both short- and long-term temporal dependencies, which especially result from the direction of the flow of time.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.
