Value distribution and the Lemma of the logarithmic derivative on polydiscs

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1983
Value distribution is developed on polydiscs with the special emphasis that the value distribution function depend on a vector variable. A Lemma of the logarithmic derivative for meromorphic functions on polydiscs is derived. Here the Bergman boundary of

Multi-Attribute Decision Making with Einstein Aggregation Operators in Complex Q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Hypersoft Environments

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
The purpose of our research is to extend the formal representation of the human mind to the concept of the complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy hypersoft set (Cq-ROFHSS), a more general hybrid theory.

Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

The Hapax of Mourning: Ali Smith’s Aesthetics of Exception in Artful (2012)

open access: yesÉtudes Britanniques Contemporaines, 2020
Ali Smith’s Artful innovatively mingles essay and fiction in a playful metatextual variation on Barthes’s ‘death of the author’. As a disruption of ordinary life, grief heralds a state of exception, aptly portrayed by the implosion of narrative ...

Velocity and Virtuosity: An Empirical Investigation of Basic Tempo in Contemporary Performances of Two Large-scale Works of Chopin and Liszt

open access: yesEmpirical Musicology Review, 2023
Past research suggests that exceptional speed is a salient feature in virtuoso performance. However, this claim has not yet been tested by empirical studies.

Irreducible Representations of an Algebra underlying Hidden Symmetries of a class of Quasi Exactly Solvable Systems of Equations

open access: yes, 1996
The set of linear, differential operators preserving the vector space of couples of polynomials of degrees n and n-2 in one real variable leads to an abstract associative graded algebra A(2).

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Decomposition matrices for $d$-Harish-Chandra series: the exceptional rank two cases

open access: yes, 2011
We calculate all decomposition matrices of the cyclotomic Hecke algebras of the rank 2 exceptional complex reflection groups in characteristic 0. We prove the existence of canonical basic sets in the sense of Geck-Rouquier and show that all modular ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Exceptional sets for holomorphic Sobolev functions.

open access: yesMichigan Mathematical Journal, 1988
This paper is concerned with the holomorphic function theory of the unit ball \(B^ n\) in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\). One can define holomorphic Sobolev spaces \(H^ p_{\beta}(B^ n)\) for \(p,\beta >0\) (recently introduced by Beatrous and Burbea). For example, when \(\beta =1\) the space consists of functions in the usual Hardy space \(H^ p(B^ n)\) whose ...
