Margin-closed regime-switching multivariate time series models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
A regime-switching multivariate time series model which is closed under margins is built. The model imposes a restriction on all lower-dimensional sub-processes to follow a regime-switching process sharing the same latent regime sequence and having the same Markov order as the original process. The margin-closed regime-switching model is constructed by

Crossover of ballistic, hydrodynamic, and diffusive phonon transport in suspended graphene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Hydrodynamic phonon transport was recently predicted as an important regime for phonon transport in graphitic materials. Many of past studies on hydrodynamic phonon transport have focused on the cases where the hydrodynamic regime predominates over other regimes such that hydrodynamic features can be clearly observed.

Exchange Rate Regimes and the Real Exchange Rate [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Economic Integration, 1995
It is well established now that the (nominal) exchange rate regime has important implications for the behavior of real exchange rates. Two key stylized facts in this regard are that real exchange rate variability is greater under flexible exchange rates than under fixed exchange rates and that real and nominal exchange rate movements are positively ...

CAPITAL ACCOUNT LIBERALIZATION AND EXCHANGE RATE REGIME CHOICE, WHAT SCOPE FOR FLEXIBILITY IN TUNISIA? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Capital account liberalization and exchange rate regime choice, what scope for flexibility in Tunisia? This study evaluates within a game-theoretic framework the exchange rate regime from a welfare perspective.

Evolution of the Power Spectrum and the Self-Similarity in the Expanding One-Dimensional Universe [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We have investigated time evolutions of power spectra of density fluctuations for long time after the first appearance of caustics in the expanding one-dimensional universe. It is found that when an initial power spectrum is sale-free with a power index $n$, a self-similarity of the time evolution of the power spectrum is achieved.

Regime transitions in thermally driven high-Rayleigh number vertical convection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Vertical convection is investigated using direct numerical simulations over a wide range of Rayleigh numbers $10^7\le Ra\le10^{14}$ with fixed Prandtl number $Pr=10$, in a two-dimensional convection cell with unit aspect ratio. It is found that the dependence of the mean vertical centre temperature gradient $S$ on $Ra$ shows three different regimes: In

Regimes of quantum degeneracy in trapped 1D gases [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Lett. 85, 3745 (2000), 2000
We discuss the regimes of quantum degeneracy in a trapped 1D gas and obtain the diagram of states. Three regimes have been identified: the BEC regimes of a true condensate and quasicondensate, and the regime of a trapped gas of Tonks (gas of impenetrable bosons).

The Macroeconomic Implication of Exchange Rate Regimes [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2011
This study investigates the relation between macroeconomic variables such as real GDP growth, inflation, unemployment rate, trade deficit and the exchange regimes. The idea is to explore whether the macroeconomic indicators give better result when are under the influence of fixed or fluctuating exchange rates.

Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and
