Handling rescue therapy in myasthenia gravis clinical trials: why it matters and why you should care
Abstract Myasthenia gravis (MG) clinical trials typically allow rescue therapy during follow‐up in the event of marked worsening of MG symptoms. Failure to appropriately address rescue therapy in defining treatment effects and planning statistical analyses may yield biased estimates, increase false positive rates, or decrease statistical power – all of

Abstract Objectives Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is an effective treatment for Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS), but recovery varies between patients. This study aims to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of a single and a second IVIg dose (SID) in patients with GBS.

The Duration of Fixed Exchange Rate Regimes [PDF]
This paper studies the survival of fixed exchange rate regimes. The probability of an exit from a fixed exchange rate regime depends on the time spent within this regime. In such a context durations models are appropriate, in particular because of the possible non-monotonic pattern of duration dependence.

Objective The increasing burden associated with low back pain (LBP) is a critical issue. This is a novel analysis of trends in risk factors for LBP aiming to identify risk factors that require further attention or consideration in global policies to reduce the burden of LBP.

Is a more stable exchange rate associated with reduced exchange rate pass-through? [PDF]
Pass-through from the nominal effective exchange rate to import prices is modelled within a regime-switching environment. Evidence suggests that exchange rate pass through can be characterised as regime-specific where the probability of switching between

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Earnings, and Work Loss: A Nationwide Matched Cohort Study
Objective This study compares trajectories of earnings and work loss in individuals with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) versus matched comparators from the general population. Methods Patients with JIA (n = 4,737) were identified in the Swedish National Patient Register (2001–2017) and individually matched to up to five general population ...

Toward Design Principles for Biomolecular Condensates for Metabolic Pathways
Biomolecular condensates are membrane‐less compartments found through‐out nature which can serve as reaction crucibles for biochemical processes. This review explores the design strategies underlying how condensates can be used in biotechnology to enhance multistep enzyme cascades including enhancement by mass action and substrate channeling, and ...

Modeling Real Exchange Rate in Iran using Markov Switching Autoregressive Model [PDF]
This study tries to model real exchange rate using a two-state Markov autoregressive model. The empirical results indicate that the real exchange rate cycles are well explained by a switching autoregressive pattern rather than a simple autoregressive ...
