Orbital Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya exchange interaction [PDF]
Superexchange calculation is performed for multi-orbital band models with broken inversion symmetry. Orbital-changing hopping terms allowed by the symmetry breaking electric field lead to a new kind of orbital exchange term closely resembling the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya spin exchange.

Donor spins in silicon have achieved record values of coherence times and single-qubit gate fidelities. The next stage of development involves demonstrating high-fidelity two-qubit logic gates, where the most natural coupling is the exchange interaction.

DN interaction from meson exchange [PDF]
A model of the DN interaction is presented which is developed in close analogy to the meson-exchange KbarN potential of the Juelich group utilizing SU(4) symmetry constraints.

Spatial trends of noncollinear exchange coupling mediated by itinerant carriers with different Fermi surfaces [PDF]
We study the exchange coupling mediated by itinerant carriers with spin-orbit interaction by both analytic and numeric approaches. The mediated exchange coupling is noncollinear and its spatial trends depend on the Fermi-surface topology of the itinerant

Inversion of spin levels in exchange-coupled pairs under combined time reversal
The method for transforming antiferromagnetic exchange interaction into the ferromagnetic one has been proposed for binuclear coordination compounds, which contain dimers consisting of iron or rare earth ions with arbitrary spins and having identical ...

Exchange Interaction between Single Magnetic Adatoms [PDF]
The magnetic coupling between single Co atoms adsorbed on a copper surface is determined by probing the Kondo resonance using low-temperature scanning tunneling spectroscopy. The Kondo resonance, which is due to magnetic correlation effects between the spin of a magnetic adatom and the conduction electrons of the substrate, is modified in a ...

Is there diquark clustering in the nucleon? [PDF]
It is shown that the instanton-induced interaction in qq pairs, iterated in t-channel, leads to a meson-exchange interactions between quarks. In this way one can achieve a simultaneous understanding of low-lying mesons, baryons and the nuclear force. The
