Extended-soft-core Baryon-Baryon Model II. Hyperon-Nucleon Interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The YN results are presented from the Extended-soft-core (ESC) interactions. They consist of local- and non-local-potentials due to (i) One-boson-exchange (OBE), with pseudoscalar-, vector-, scalar-, and axial-vector-nonets, (ii) Diffractive exchanges ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Analytical Valuation of Vulnerable Exchange Options with Stochastic Volatility in a Reduced-Form Model

open access: yesMathematics
This paper investigates the valuation of vulnerable exchange options with two underlying assets that follow a two-factor volatility model. We employ a reduced-form model incorporating a Poisson process with stochastic intensity. The proposed reduced-form

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Pricing of European Currency Options with Uncertain Exchange Rate and Stochastic Interest Rates

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2019
Suppose that the interest rates obey stochastic differential equations, while the exchange rate follows an uncertain differential equation; this paper proposes a new currency model.

Correction: Exchange Option under Jump-diffusion Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Mathematical Finance, 2014
In this note, we provide the correct formula for the price of the European exchange option given in Cheang, G. H. L., & Chiarella, C. (2011. Exchange options under jump-diffusion dynamics. Applied Mathematical Finance, 18, 245–276) in a bi-dimensional jump diffusion model.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
