The roles and applications of extracellular vesicles in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 5, Page 1287-1290, May 2025.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are minute versions of cells limited by a lipid bilayer containing cytoplasm from the cell that releases them, but without a nucleus and thus unable to self‐reproduce. EVs contain multiple molecules (proteins, lipids, glycans, and nucleic acids) they can induce complex responses in cells.

Exchange-Rate Exposure of Multinationals: Focusing on Exchange- Rate Issues [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2001
This paper examines exchange-rate exposure of multinationals (MNEs) in light of detailed exchange rate data. Specifically, using MNE-specific exchange rates and accounting for the possibility that exchange-rate crises may impact a firm differently than periods of normal fluctuations, estimates suggest ¼ of all MNEs had significant exchange rate ...

Germline variants in CDKN2A wild‐type melanoma prone families

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 5, Page 1493-1507, May 2025.
Among melanoma‐prone families, wild‐type for CDKN2A and CDK4, some have pathogenic variants in genes not usually linked to melanoma. Furthermore, rare XP‐related variants and variants in MC1R are enriched in such families. Germline pathogenic variants in CDKN2A are well established as an underlying cause of familial malignant melanoma. While pathogenic

An Exchange Rate Target Zone Model with a Terminal Condition and Mean-Reverting Fundamentals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
This paper proposes a target zones exchange rate model with a terminal condition of entering a currency zone. It is assumed that the exchange rate is a function of the fundamental and time. Another essential assumptions of the model is that the fundamental process is bounded inside a band and that terminal condition for the exchange rate holds.

Exchange-Rate Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper discusses the dynamic behavior of exchange rates, focusing both on the exchange rate's response to exogenous shocks and the relation between exchange-rate movements and movements in important endogenous variables such as prices, interest rates,
