Handling rescue therapy in myasthenia gravis clinical trials: why it matters and why you should care
Abstract Myasthenia gravis (MG) clinical trials typically allow rescue therapy during follow‐up in the event of marked worsening of MG symptoms. Failure to appropriately address rescue therapy in defining treatment effects and planning statistical analyses may yield biased estimates, increase false positive rates, or decrease statistical power – all of

Dynamic response of exchange bias in graphene nanoribbons [PDF]
The dynamics of magnetic hysteresis, including the training effect and the field sweep rate dependence of the exchange bias, is experimentally investigated in exchange-coupled potassium split graphene nanoribbons (GNRs). We find that, at low field sweep rate, the pronounced absolute training effect is present over a large number of cycles.

Abstract Objectives Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is an effective treatment for Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS), but recovery varies between patients. This study aims to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of a single and a second IVIg dose (SID) in patients with GBS.

Spread option and exchange option with stochastic interest rates [PDF]
In this work, we consider the issue of pricing exchange options and spread options with stochastic interest rates. We provide the closed form solution for the exchange option price when interest rate is stochastic. Our result holds when interest rate is modeled with a stochastic term structure of general form, which includes Vasicek model, CIR term ...

Bretton Woods Fixed Exchange Rate System versus Floating Exchange Rate System [PDF]
One of the most important issues of monetary policy is to find out whether the state should intervene among the exchange rates, taking into account the fact that changes in the exchange rates represent a significant transmission channel of the effects ...

Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy Is Associated With Higher R2 Relaxation Rate: An MRI and Pathology Study
ABSTRACT Objective Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) involves β‐amyloid deposition in the walls of cortical and leptomeningeal small vessels. Transverse relaxation rate (R2) is a major source of contrast in MRI. This study tested the hypothesis that CAA is associated with R2, extracted the spatial pattern of CAA‐related R2 abnormalities, and evaluated ...

On the Singular Control of Exchange Rates [PDF]
Consider the problem of a central bank that wants to manage the exchange rate between its domestic currency and a foreign one. The central bank can purchase and sell the foreign currency, and each intervention on the exchange market leads to a proportional cost whose instantaneous marginal value depends on the current level of the exchange rate.

World currency exchange rate cross-correlations
World currency network constitutes one of the most complex structures that is associated with the contemporary civilization. On a way towards quantifying its characteristics we study the cross correlations in changes of the daily foreign exchange rates ...
