Market Power and Exchange Rate Adjustment in the Presence of Quotas [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates the dependency of the adjustment of prices, exchange rates, and production on the nature of the trade regime. We contrast the adjustment between a quota and a tariff regime for a 'semi-small' economy characterized by monopolistic ...

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

Financial fragility and the exchange rate regime [PDF]

open access: yes
We study financial fragility, exchange rate crises, and monetary policy in an open economy version of a Diamond-Dybvig model. The banking system, the exchange rate regime, and central bank credit policy are seen as parts of a mechanism intended to ...

Stabilization of Miscible Aqueous Phases via Diffusion‐Controlled Multifunctional Nanoparticle‐Ligand Complexation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

EXAMINING THE IMPACT OF EXCHANGE RATE REGIMES ON INFLATION IN NIGERIA

open access: yesInternational Studies Journal
This study empirically examining the impact of exchange rate regimes on inflation in Nigeria. Using quarterly secondary data, it was structured from 1981 to 1986 for fixed exchange rate and also 1987 to 2023 for managed flexible exchange rate.

The exchange rate arrangements-government finance relationship and the impact on debt management

open access: yesManagement : Journal of Contemporary Management Issues, 2016
The choice of exchange rate regime can have a significant impact on the development of the national economy, which affects the main economic indicators. Traditionally, researchers consider the effects of certain types of exchange rate regimes on economic

Optimal choice of an exchange rate regime: a critical literature review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper set out to review the main theories and empirical methods employed in selecting an appropriate exchange rate regime. In order to achieve this, the paper is organized as follows : Section 2 introduces the distinct classifications of exchange ...

Covalent Organic Frameworks for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction: Metal Integration Principles, Strategies and Functions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.

Implications of the Modigliani-Miller Theorem for the Study of Exchange Rate Regimes [PDF]

open access: yes
We extend the Modigliani-Miller Theorem to the composition of the public debt and show that in a deterministic model the structure of a government's assets and liabilities is undetermined.

Ultrastable Photoactive Halide Perovskite Nanocrystal‐Sensitized SnO2 Nanorods for Room‐Temperature NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metal oxide (MOx)‐based NO2 gas sensors typically require high temperatures or ultraviolet light, limiting their practical use. To enable visible‐light activation at room temperature, efficient and stable photosensitizers should be integrated with nanostructured MOx hosts.
