Circularity and Resilience in Entrepreneurial Ecosystems in Times of Crisis

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite recent efforts to bridge the circular economy and entrepreneurship, and to explore resilience in entrepreneurial ecosystems, the ways in which startups' circularity orientations influence how they build resilience in times of crisis remain unclear.

Pursuing patents for their own sake: How the investment discourse shapes patent quality and quantity

open access: yesThe Journal of World Intellectual Property, EarlyView.
Abstract Patent systems worldwide face criticisms over declining patent quality and increasing patent quantity. While most research focuses on strengthening examination rigour, this article turns attention to relatively underexplored patenting incentives.

Plant genotypic diversity and defoliation jointly shape root exudation, fungal communities, and carbon and nitrogen cycling

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Experimental design. Summary Intraspecific plant diversity is a major component of community diversity, yet its role in shaping plant–microbial interactions and soil functioning remains poorly understood. In particular, plant genotypic diversity may modulate ecosystem responses to defoliation, a key driver of ecosystem processes in grazed systems.

Artificial Intelligence in Orthodontics: Part 2—Data Preparation and Performance Evaluation

open access: yesOrthodontics &Craniofacial Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into orthodontic research and clinical workflows. Yet, the reliability and clinical value of these systems depend fundamentally on the quality of the data used to train them and the rigour with which their performance is evaluated.

Evaluating tools for predicting and measuring radiometric performance of germicidal ultraviolet systems

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
An evaluation of simulation and measurement tools for germicidal ultraviolet (GUV) systems is presented to inform their design and deployment to control the spread of airborne pathogens. Abstract Germicidal ultraviolet (GUV) air treatment technologies can be effective and safe for reducing airborne disease transmission.

Living in the Mycelial World

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract This manuscript documents a systematic ethnomycological analysis of ethnographic archives. Focusing on texts describing human–fungi interactions, I conduct a global, cross‐cultural review of mushroom use, covering 193 societies worldwide. The study reveals diverse mushroom‐related cultural practices, emphasizing the significance of fungi ...

Optimal Path Embedding in the Exchanged Crossed Cube

Journal of Computer Science and Technology, 2017
The (s + t + 1)-dimensional exchanged crossed cube, denoted as ECQ(s, t), combines the strong points of the exchanged hypercube and the crossed cube. It has been proven that ECQ(s, t) has more attractive properties than other variations of the fundamental hypercube in terms of fewer edges, lower cost factor and smaller diameter. In this paper, we study
