INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CENTERS IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY
The article discusses the preconditions for the emergence and role of international financial centers (IFCs) as key institutions of the global financial market, which at the end of the 20th century acquired the most important function in the ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Lyon. La fouille du Parc Saint-Georges : le mobilier céramique de l’Antiquité tardive
The study of four pottery assemblages from the Parc Saint Georges site (Lyon) gives a rough layout of pottery evolution during the late Antiquity, more precisely between the middle of the 3rd and the beginning of the 5th century AD.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

La frontière indienne du Río de la Plata, un espace de contact et d'échanges
Marginal area of the Hispanic colonization, the Río de la Plata did not follow the general scheme of the Conquest, with an Indian Frontier beyond which the Natives remained free and with effective control of their territory. The History of this region is
