Effect of interchain coupling on conducting polymer luminescence: excimers in derivatives of poly(phenylene vinylene)

open access: yes, 1997
Optical excitation of a chain in a polymer film may result in formation of an excimer, a superposition of on-chain excitons and charge-transfer excitons on the originally excited chain and a neighboring chain. The excimer emission is red-shifted compared

On the mechanisms of wetting characteristics modification for selected metallic materials by means of high power diode laser radiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This work elucidates and analyses the factors responsible for modifications to the wettability characteristics of metallic materials after high power diode laser (HPDL) treatment.

Selective Formation of Twisted Intramolecular Charge Transfer and Excimer Emissions on 2,7-bis(4-Diethylaminophenyl)-fluorenone by Choice of Solvent

open access: yesMolecules, 2012
We designed and synthesized a donor-acceptor-donor dye consisting of a 2,7-disubstituted fluorenone with diethylaminophenyl moieties present as strong electron donating groups.

On the effects of using CO2 and F2 lasers to modify the wettability of a polymeric biomaterial. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Enhancement of the surface properties of a material by means of laser radiation has been amply demonstrated previously. In this work a comparative study for the surface modification of nylon 6,6 has been conducted in order to vary the wettability ...

Enhanced Switching Performance in Single‐Crystalline PbTiO3 Ferroelectric Memristors for Replicating Synaptic Plasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrated single‐crystalline PbTiO3‐based memristors with atomically sharp interfaces, well‐ordered lattices, and minimal lattice mismatch. The devices exhibited an ON/OFF ratio exceeding 105, high stability, and rich resistance‐state modulation.

Aniline incorporated silica nanobubbles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We report the synthesis of stearate functionalized nanobubbles of SiO2 with a few aniline molecules inside, represented as C6H5NH2@SiO2@stearate, exhibiting fluorescence with red-shifted emission.

An Ultra‐Robust Memristor Based on Vertically Aligned Nanocomposite with Highly Defective Vertical Channels for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An ultra‐robust memristor based on SrTiO3‐CeO2 (S‐C) vertically aligned nanocomposite (VAN) achieving exceptional endurance of 1012 switching cycles via interface engineering. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) integrated with S‐C VAN memristors exhibit high training accuracy across multiple datasets.

Solvent-Modulated Charge-Transfer Resonance Enhancement in the Excimer State of a Bay-Substituted Perylene Bisimide Cyclophane.

open access: yesJournal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2019
Excimer, a configurational mixing between Frenkel exciton and charge-transfer resonance states, is typically regarded as a trap state that hinders desired energy or charge-transfer processes in artificial molecular assemblies.
