Excimer fluorescence of pyrene-maleimide-labeled tubulin [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Excimer-forming cysteines in tubulin are detected by the presence of excimer fluorescence in N-(1-pyrenyl)maleimide-labeled tubulin. The ratio of excimer/monomer fluorescence of labeled protein remained unchanged upon its dilution.

Bright Solvatochromic Fluorophores With Dual Emission Enabled by a Donor‐Engineering Strategy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We screened tertiary amines for installation on the donor unit of highly emissive donor–acceptor‐type solvatochromic fluorophores based on a 9,9‐dimethyl‐2‐phenyl‐9H‐fluorene scaffold, with the aim of enabling two bright emissive states to coexist. As a result, the azetidine derivative [4] and the azepane derivative [7] exhibited clear dual emission ...

Observation of Circularly Polarized Luminescence of the Excimer from Two Perylene Cores in the Form of [4]Rotaxane.

open access: yesChemistry, 2018
A perylene-based [4]rotaxane was synthesized by the Sonogashira coupling of the 2:2 inclusion complex consisting of two alkynylperylenes and two γ-cyclodextrins with terphenyl-type stopper molecules. The [4]rotaxane showed orange emission attributable to
