Studies of tunable, high power excimer lasers
A detailed investigation of tunable, high power excimer lasers, particularly of the electron-beam pumped XeF(C $\to$ A) laser, is presented. A numerical model is described which simulates the performance of such lasers.

Vascular Calcification: Mechanisms, Models, and Therapies
ABSTRACT Vascular calcification represents an active multifactorial process that mirrors several key features of skeletal bone mineralization. Clinically, it is characterized by diminished arterial compliance and increased arterial wall stiffness, both of which serve as independent predictors of significant adverse cardiovascular events.

High-power cladding-pumped Raman and erbium-ytterbium doped fibre sources
Raman fibres and rare-earth doped silica fibres have been investigated for many years as gain media for the amplification of optical signals in telecommunications thanks to their broad gain bandwidth. They are now widely used for that application.
