Identifiability and excitation of polynomial systems [PDF]
This paper establishes identifiability and informativity conditions for a class of deterministic linearly parametrized polynomial systems. The class considered is polynomial in the states and in the inputs. The standard definitions of identifiability and informativity for linear systems are expanded to account for the situation where the identification

A note on persistency of excitation [PDF]
We prove that if a component of the response signal of a controllable linear time-invariant system is persistently exciting of sufficiently high order, then the windows of the signal span the full system behavior.

The absorber in self-excited system with random excitation [PDF]
In this paper, the absorber effect for self-excited system with random excitation is examined. It turns out that the random-self-oscillations can be suppressed by increasing the damping coefficient of the absorber. The results are obtained by averaging method and the FPK one.

Coordination between loss of excitation protection and minimum excitation limit function of voltage regulation system [PDF]
Established practice is such that the relay protection system and excitation system are adjusted independently of each other, which very often leads to non-coordinated action.

On the Contraction of Excitable Systems
We study the contraction of Hodgkin-Huxley model and its role in the reliability of spike timings. Without input, the model is contractive in the region of physiological interest. With impulsive synaptic inputs, contraction is retained provided that the input events are sparse enough. Contraction is lost when the input firing rate is too high.

Excited States of the Helium-Antihydrogen System [PDF]
Potential energy curves for excited leptonic states of the helium-antihydrogen system are calculated within Ritz' variational approach. An explicitly correlated ansatz for the leptonic wave function is employed describing accurately the motion of the leptons (two electrons and positron) in the field of the helium nucleus and of the antiproton with ...

Control Systems with Almost Periodic Excitations [PDF]
For control systems described by ordinary differential equations subject to almost periodic excitations the controllability properties depend on the specific excitation. Here these properties and, in particular, control sets and chain control sets are discussed for all excitations in the closure of all time shifts of a given almost periodic function ...

On the Stabilization of Persistently Excited Linear Systems [PDF]
We consider control systems of the type $\dot x = A x +α(t)bu$, where $u\in\R$, $(A,b)$ is a controllable pair and $α$ is an unknown time-varying signal with values in $[0,1]$ satisfying a persistent excitation condition i.e., $\int_t^{t+T}\al(s)ds\geq μ$ for every $t\geq 0$, with ...
