Within the framework of AdS/CFT duality, excited states of the conformal field living at the global AdS boundary of a four-dimensional spacetime Einstein gravity are investigated analytically in the probe limit where the field equations are linearized ...

Cluster structures of excited states in $^{14}$C
Structures of excited states in $^{14}$C are investigated with a method of $\beta$-$\gamma$ constraint antisymmetrized molecular dynamics in combination with the generator coordinate method.

Experimental verification of minima in excited long-range Rydberg states of Rb_2 [PDF]
Recent theoretical studies with alkali atoms A$^{\ast}$ excited to high Rydberg states predicted the existence of ultra long-range molecular bound states.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Optical-pumping enantio-conversion of chiral mixtures in presence of tunneling between chiral states
Enantio-conversion of chiral mixtures, converting the mixtures composed of left- and right-handed chiral molecules into the homochiral ensembles, has become an important research topic in chemical and biological fields.

Dirac Coupled Channel Analyses of Proton Inelastic Scattering from $^{40}$Ar Nucleus
0.8 GeV proton inelastic scatterings from $^{40}$Ar nucleus are analyzed using an optical potential model in the Dirac coupled channel formalism. A rotational collective model is used to obtain the transition optical potentials for the low lying excited ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Stimulated resonant inelastic x-ray scattering with chirped, broadband pulses
We present an approach for initiating and tracing ultra-fast electron dynamics in core-excited atoms, molecules and solids. The approach is based on stimulated resonant inelastic x-ray scattering induced by a single, chirped, broadband XUV/x-ray pulse. A

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Non-Linear Optical Properties of Biexciton in Ellipsoidal Quantum Dot
We have presented a theoretical investigation of exciton and biexciton states for the ground and excited levels in a strongly oblate ellipsoidal quantum dot made from GaAs.
