A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Aziz Bonaventura’un Düşüncesinde Tanrı ile Birlik: Ruhun Dönüştürücü Yolculuğu
1217-1274 yılları arasında yaşamış olan Aziz Bonaventura, Orta Çağ Hıristiyan mistisizminin önde gelen isimlerinden biridir. Bonaventura özellikle Zihnin Tanrıya Yolculuğu (Itinerarium Mentis in Deum) adlı eserinde dile getirdiği mistik teolojisiyle ...

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

The idea of history as magistra vitae – a collection of good and bad examples – was a central topos of historical writing in the West from antiquity till the late eighteenth century. The idea has served a number of different ends, motivating advanced political theory as well as functioning as a mere saying.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Moral Exemplarism in the Key of Christ
Linda Zagzebski’s exemplarist moral theory (EMT) has much to commend it, but without appeal to a single, paradigmatic exemplar, it remains vulnerable to epistemic issues, such as: How do we reliably distinguish between who is admirable and who is not? In

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

: The centrality of reflective observation
Exemplarism–the view that exemplary people, whom we admire, are the bearers of our moral concepts–presents considerable challenges to the (widely-assumed) place of moral theory in how we learn to be moral.

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.
