AbstractLead accumulates in grapes exposed to automobile exhaust gases, the concentration of the metal diminishing parabolically with the logarithm of the distance from the source of pollution. The maximum extrapolated figure was 4 to 6 ug per g of dried grapes, or about 10 times the normal content.
